Massage increases circulation, decreases muscle tension and specific forms help to reduce Edema, Toxicity and Inflammation.

I combine the various forms of Bodywork, often times in conjunction with the EnergyWork and Microcurrent, depending on a person's individual needs for treatment.

All-encompassing in nature, the Therapeutic Wellness Massage is tailored towards the resolution of a particular body issue such as back pain, whiplash or sciatica. The initial intake includes a detailed assessment of the condition, thourough definition of long and short term goals, and establishment of a realistic plan for long term therapy. The short term and long term goals allow for continued assessment and objective feedback as to improvement throughout the course of therapy.

A variety of techniques are combined: Myofascial Release, Lymphatic Drainage, Deep Tissue, Swedish,Trigger Point Therapy, Biovalent Therapy, Range of Motion exercises. We will also discuss breathing patterns, habitual tendencies and how to properly stretch to maintain and improve upon the results at home.

When appropriate, other therapies such as Microcurrent Therapy will be recommended and incorporated.

Lymphatic Massage is ideal for detoxification and reduction of edema and inflammation. Typically, there will be some amount of lymphatic work in any massage I give, but a full or partial body lymphatic massage is structured with a particular end result in mind. Ie. Reduction in swelling resulting from a sprained ankle.

Lymphatic Massage is excellent for: Reducing Edema (Swelling), Diminishing Cellulite, Reducing Inflammation, Improving the Immune System, Detoxifying the body,Reducing the impact of sinus and allergy problems, Increasing skin tone and elasticity, De-stressing the mind/body.

Massage is wonderful throughout pregnancy. Following the proper guidelines for each trimester, Pregnancy Massage is tailored towards pain relief, stress reduction,nurturing the mother, nurturing the baby, and promoting an overall sense of support and wellbeing.

Moms with extenuating medical circumstances require their physician's approval. I will speak with the Physician if necessary, but an adequate medical history in conjunction with the physician's approval with allow me to modify the techniques accordingly.

Massage is safe for people dealing with cancer. More than that, it is the touch that is most often missing. There are safe guidelines I follow according to Gayle McDonald's teachings (she is the leading therapist using Massage Therapy for people with cancer).

Massage can reduce the fatigue and depression associated with Cancer as well as with Chemotherapy. Massage can also contribute to a support of a healthy immune system.

Isn't all massage relaxing?!

If you have no particular body concerns, no need for anything other than a place to lie down and forget all cares, this is the massage for you. You will have to fill out a health history form to rule out possible contraindications, but the massage is tailored to overall stress relief (muscular and mental). Areas you wish to receive more focus will be highlighted. Typically, a full body massage is recommended.
